In conjunction with the ICOSAHOM07 in Beijing, we are organizing a small workshop on "Recent Advances on Spectral Methods and Related Applications" during June 14-16 at Xiamen University. The purpose of the workshop is to bring together leading experts in spectral methods and their applications to exchange recent advances and ideas, and to promote research and collaboration.

Xiamen is located in a beautiful peninsula across the Taiwan straight, and is a very popular tourist destination in China. There are frequent direct flights to Xiamen from Beijing and Shanghai (and other major airports in China). A round trip ticket from Beijing or Shanghai to Xiamen is typically between $150--$300, and can be purchased at the airport or reserved in advance.

All the speakers will be host at International Conference Center of Xiamen University, which is located at the principal campus of Xiamen University.

Pick up service: The airport pick-up service will be arranged for the workshop speakers to transport from the Xiamen GaoQi airport to the hotel. Please let us know your flight information by sending email to cjxu@xmu.edu.cn.

Taxi: Xiamen university is about 20km from Xiamen GaoQi airport. If you miss the pick-up service, you can reach the hotel easily by taxi. It will cost about 60 RMB (Chinese Yuan). You can show the picture below (Chinese name of the hotel "International Conference Center of Xiamen University") to the driver in case he can't understand your English well.
